The crux of the case
Faulty DNA evidence
Touch DNA, or secondary DNA transfer, is a well-documented occurrence where DNA is found at a crime scene by someone who wasn’t there at the time of the crime. Trace amounts of Danny’s DNA were found at the house because he lived there for years and his children spent time there too.
Testimony of a 15-year old
Ben Hicks was 15-years old when he claimed to see Danny’s car leave his parent’s house. Eye witness testimony is notorious for being inaccurate, especially a teenager, who saw headlights late in the evening. An impossible car to confirm.
The “car dumping” incident
Many character assassinations were lobbed against Uncle Danny. Yes, he was getting a divorce from Lesa. Getting a divorce doesn’t make you a murderer.
